As N95 or BFE material is currently unavailable, we’ve improvised, making our masks from the same advanced closed-cell fabric technology as our innovative compression sleeves. The fabric prevents fluid and germs from permeating the fabric, helping to prevent potential asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic transmission. The two washable, reusable filters likewise help cut down on potential spread. Our filters are safe for human use and provide an electrostatic barrier. While the Face Mask Helix has not been evaluated by the FDA (a 2-year process), we followed the CDC guidelines described below to provide protection against large droplets, splashes and sprays:
CDC Guidelines: “Fluid resistant and provides the wearer protection against large droplets, splashes, or sprays of bodily or other hazardous fluids. Protects the patient from the wearer’s respiratory emissions.” For more information on the N95 versus a surgical mask, please click here.

In fact, we recently partnered with other North Carolina companies in an effort to not only help mitigate COVID-19, but to also build sustainable jobs within the U.S.

Filters should be replaced if you are washing them more than five times a month. Please follow the guidelines of the CDC if they are not in alignment with these recommendations. Additional filters for the Face Mask Helix can be purchased here.
