High Performance X-Fit Ankle Helix

The X-Fit Ankle Helix Compression Sleeve provides comfortable compression for the soft tissues of the ankle. These features are known to be beneficial in prevention of injury and re-injury. Compression is a mainstay in the management of acute ankle injury to provide support and edema management.

Uniform compression is provided to the ankle ligaments, distal Achilles tendons, and proximal plantar foot structures. This Helix unburdens the ankle tendons injured with overuse syndromes or acute sprains and strains.

What is the difference in styles?

The X-Fit Ankle Helix provides support in the “X” or Figure 8 pattern. This pattern is used to support injured tissues typically associated with acute ankle sprain or strain. The X-Fit is advised after acute injury management and has slightly less bulk than the Full Ankle Helix. The Full Ankle Helix provides uniform compression typically desired for acute and chronic injury management and injury prevention and provides support to a larger area of the ankle than the X-Fit.  The Full Ankle Helix is generally the product of choice unless less bulk or support is desired.  No other compression product can match our Ankle Helixes. Proper fit is important

It is very important to measure your ankle at the maximum dimension where it will be used in order to get the proper fit. Measure the distance around the ankle, from the heel to the anterior (front) leg. Please do not measure your leg.

If your measurement is in the middle of two sizes you will want the smaller size if you are a lean or muscular athlete and the larger size if you are not lean or muscular.

Ankle Wrap X Fit

I bought this for my 19 years old daughter when she plays tennis. Her foot is slightly pronated and playing on hard courts will strain her feet. The first time she wore them she felt support that she had not experienced before. Now she wears them to the gym and just about everywhere. They are thin and comfortable enough to wear with her "cute" shoes too. I'm getting her a second pair.

Great product that shows immediate results

I've been using Body Helix products for my ankles for a few years now. They were especially helpful in helping me manage pain as I recovered from some bad ankle injuries a few years ago. I thought I had fully recovered but after recently taking up running, some of my ankle soreness returned.

I ordered a new ankle support (since I'd lost my previous one) and voila! The pain was immediately better after subsequent runs. The difference is immediately noticeable.

One issue I do have sometimes is due to having a broad foot, the tightness of the product can cause some discomfort on the side of the foot during long runs. TBC - this is just discomfort (like having an extra thick sock) rather than pain. It's a bit annoying but definitely worth the tradeoff of being pain-free on my recovery days.

It also helps me feel a better not using a use-and-throw product like kinesio tapes.

Working hard

The compression wrap holds my ankle perfectly. It swells, but is held so that no discomfort exists.
