I have demoed over 10 paddles in 2 1/2 years. You don’t have to add anything to it. Just swing as is and you will see. It just feels different and it’s legal. There’s something sneaky about how good this paddle is. I’m not sure there’s anything about the FLIK approved paddle that wouldn’t pass USAP standards because this paddle doesn’t crush balls at a dangerous speed (unlike a recently sunset paddle). It feels like I can never hit a dead dink with it, and the sweet spot playing it stock (no lead tape or grip modifications) has felt tremendous. I am LOVING my FLIK, and I hope more people get put onto how good Body Helix paddles are!
Having used most of the Kevlar paddles in the Body Helix lineup, this one seems to have the perfect combination of low swing weight to high twist weight while still providing fantastic feedback off the face. Great power, pop, and spin, with effortless control, I am stunned at how easy it is to grab the ball. I promise I am not paid by Body Helix, nor am I sponsored.
