The Full Elbow Helix Compression Sleeve provides support and compression for forearm pain associated with tendonitis or muscle strain, offering protection for the elbow as well as for the biceps, triceps and forearm muscles and tendons. This extremely comfortable Helix is excellent for Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondylitis) and Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis), as well as distal biceps and triceps injuries or proximal forearm injuries associated with the forearm pain. It also provides a moderate level of support to the joint and the attached structures.
Unlike outdated forearm sleeves, our material has incredible stretch and elasticity. The Full Elbow Helix diminishes or eliminates forearm pain from tendonitis and other overuse injuries and inflammation while still allowing full range of motion.
The Full Elbow Helix is also an ideal forearm sleeve for injury prevention during contact sports, providing protection and compression to the upper arm, elbow and forearm
BodyHelix uses the latest advances in fabric science to make straps, wraps, braces and tape obsolete. The Full Elbow Helix offers medical-grade compression that stays in place, even while you serve, volley, throw, hit, punch, and lift.
The Full Elbow Helix utilizes Form Fit Technology and is made from our Super Stretch or Cool Stretch material. Because of the incredible stretch and elasticity of a Helix, it fits comfortably over the elbow and allows for a complete bend of the joint. Most users find that our product will not “bunch up'” in the crease of the elbow and can be worn for hours without the discomfort caused by other braces and sleeves. The product will not absorb excess water, bacteria, or odors, and it can be washed after every wear.
What is the difference in styles?
The large and medium Full Elbow Helix are 11″ long and the small is 8.5″, providing a longer area of support for the arm and forearm when compared to the Elbow Helix. The Full Elbow Helix is generally preferred by taller athletes when compression of a larger area than just the elbow is desired.
The Full Elbow Helix is available in both Super Stretch and Cool Stretch. Both fabrics are the latest from the fabric science world and offer the same degree of comfort and compression. Cool Stretch is smoother, has a silkier feel and is available in sharp, new colors.
Proper fit is important
It is very important to measure your biceps 1-2 inches above the crease in the elbow (antecubital fossa) with a straight arm in order to get the proper fit. Please do not measure your forearm. “What size should I get if I am right in the middle?” As a general rule, there is increased comfort when the Helix is selected on body structure. If you are a lean, muscular athlete, you will want the smaller of the two sizes. If you are not quite so lean, the larger of the two sizes will be slightly more comfortable. However, we have athletes who do not fit the general rule but prefer a smaller or larger size based purely on comfort.
If you need help deciding which Helix is the correct Helix for your forearm, elbow or upper arm pain, please consider the size of your arm, the cause of the pain and the area of pain. If you are tall, have a large area of pain and have pain because of overuse, the Full Elbow Helix will provide more support and compression than the Elbow Helix.
