I find the weights , which are covered lead I assume , much easier and safer to use than lead tape I covered the lead tape I used in former paddies with electric tape NO LONGER! In addition I find the overwrap has a stickiness I prefer.

Great paddle! It has great power, pop, control, and spin all while being light for great hand speed for fire fights. My favorite paddle at a reasonable price.

Amazing control from this paddle, but the spin capability is beyond expectations! Similar to the regular X4 but with more grit! Love it and looks super cool.

I’ve only gotten to play with this paddle for two 3 hour sessions but it has already exceeded my expectations. Incredible spin and control with plenty of pop and the right amount of unassisted power. Great paddle

I am a 68 year old male and have been playing pb for about 7 months. I come from a tennis background where I played USTA 4.0+ during the 90's in California while active duty in the USAF.
I started out in pb playing with Pickleball Apes paddles but wanted more pop at the kitchen area. I now exclusively use Body Helix paddles which include the X3 Pro, X3 Lite and now the X4 Kevlar.
I prefer 6 inch handles because I play with a two handed backhand. However, I do love the consistency and accuracy the X4 provides so effortlessly when using correct form. I also love the quality and affordability of Body Helix's paddles. The X4 definitely has more pop than my Ape paddles and enough power and control to satisfy most players regardless of skill level. I can also generate a lot of spin with the X4 with ease. I just wish the handle was a bit longer. So, now my X3 paddles have a new roommate in my bag.

Excellent power and pop, very good spin but not approaching massive spin i was able to get from my brand new 6.0 Ruby.

I don’t know what they do with the handle but it is FAR AND AWAY the BEST handle of the many paddles i have used. It is rock solid yet does not transfer hard vibration to your hand.

Black overlay on kevlar face in my opinion ruins the look of the paddle, more importantly an errant ball hit off this area reacts erratically. One would expect consistent results across face of the paddle other than normal degraded power and increased vibrations due to off-center contact.

Another nit is the gold kevlar face picks up any ball marking and leave a permanent tattoo on the paddle face.
I believe this creates a slick spot on paddle face reducing spin. To be fair BODY HELIX does warn you about this shortcoming.

Would I buy another? Yes absolutely, this is the first paddle that i have bought a second model of, in my opinion that means a lot!

This sleeve (for my knee) is so comfortable--not itchy (my last one was), breathable, good compression, and it's been helpful in reducing the swelling. Helix was recommended by my physical therapist and I'm glad to have it.
